Ms. StL obviously loves this bold, confronting voice. I thought the shock value was very effective in delivering the message – but they certainly could have used our own Angela’s marvelous editing skills. Ms StL has told us many times to lose our inhibitions and enjoy — I’ll accept that message however it is delivered.

Mr. Smith and Vanilla Savant have distilled what I choose to take from what on the face of it, is less than pleasant free speech. Their calculated hyperbole, to me, says fuck for peace…peace of mind, peace in the world and peace in our daily dealings. OK by me.

While I probably wouldn’t iterate so loudly, when I get past the “in your face” writing style, I can see why this appeals to you Angela. And, yes, I agree with most of it.

America can be arrogant, America can be selfish, America can be coldhearted. In our defense, it’s a matter of just being human, and we just can’t always get it right. We do give a lot of money and aide to a lot of hurting people around the world.

From a military standpoint, we can be heavy handed and intrusive, but I think it’s a pretty safe bet that most peoples of countries aren’t too happy with the doctrines and actions of their armies and politicos.

Now, when it comes to S E X, we’re sneaky and tricky and secretive to the point that it is almost an illness. In that vein, America is, indeed, “a fat, sweaty bastard.”

We need to take our medicine! So thanks to you and Liberating Porn for a healthy dose of reality.

A much-needed smack in the face. We Americans, myself included, often don’t walk the way we talk. We stand for one thing in public, but do an entirely different thing in private.

We’re quick to destroy a public figure when he get’s caught doing his version of the nasty, conveniently forgetting that we’re all doing our own version of the nasty.

I think we’ve made progress. Of course, there’s a long, long way to go. We could learn a lot from France.
