God has no religion. ~Mahatma Ghandi

Once upon a time, there lived six blind men in a village. One day the villagers told them, “Hey, there is an elephant in the village today.”

They had no idea what an elephant is. They decided, “Even though we would not be able to see it, let us go and feel it anyway.” All of them went where the elephant was. Everyone of them touched the elephant.

“Hey, the elephant is a pillar,” said the first man who touched his leg.

“Oh, no! it is like a rope,” said the second man who touched the tail.

“Oh, no! it is like a thick branch of a tree,” said the third man who touched the trunk of the elephant.

“It is like a big hand fan” said the fourth man who touched the ear of the elephant.

“It is like a huge wall,” said the fifth man who touched the belly of the elephant.

“It is like a solid pipe,” Said the sixth man who touched the tusk of the elephant.

They began to argue about the elephant and everyone of them insisted that he was right. It looked like they were getting agitated. A wise man was passing by and he saw this. He stopped and asked them, “What is the matter?” They said, “We cannot agree to what the elephant is like.” Each one of them told what he thought the elephant was like. The wise man calmly explained to them, “All of you are right. The reason every one of you is telling it differently because each one of you touched the different part of the elephant. So, actually the elephant has all those features what you all said.”

So it is with religion. Each culture has seen God, through their own perspectives describing God with their own vocabularies, interpreting God through their own experiences. The universal is love and tolerance for other viewpoints.

This just in from Jerotic:

Jeremy_200I am amazed and ecstatic! The Pleasure Dial: An Erotocomedic Novel of Old-Time Radio has been awarded a bronze medal in the 2014 Independent Publisher Book Awards! The gold and silver for erotica went to the illustrious Alison Tyler and D. L. King–and needless to say I’m honored to be in their company.

Meanwhile, catching up, since it’s been a while… recent(ish) short-story publications include “Unsnubbed,” in Xoxo: Sweet and Sexy Romance (ed. Kristina Wright); and “Whom,” in Book Lovers: Sexy Stories from Under the Covers (ed. Shawna Kenney).

Short-story publications coming later this year include “Tickle Day,” in Hungry for More (ed. Rachel Kramer Bussel); and “The Nude, Stripped Naked,” in The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 13 (ed. Maxim Jakubowski). And a few more anthology appearances are in the pipeline for 2015.

There are also some older anthologies now being reissued with new titles and new covers. I definitely encourage you to check them out if the themes appeal to you—just make sure, before buying, that you don’t already own the original versions (unless you’re a real collector!). Lust in Latex (which includes my story “Tire Stud”) was formerly Rubber Sex; Flying High (which includes my story “Get On, Get Off”) was formerly The Mile High Club; and the forthcoming Nine-to-Five Fantasies is, I think, a reissue of Open for Business (which includes my story “One Cubicle Over,” aka “Mindy’s Pheromones”).

from socks to fedora,

You really should buy his stuff. He writes erotica very well.  I mean, it is AWARD WINNING!

Plus, he’s a genuinely sweet guy.  Which goes a long way with me.

The Joy of Sox — to Fedora

Jerotic (who’s a good buddy of this blog, showing up here and there, now and again) sends my way:

Hello, everyone! Here’s a summary (because the weather is summery) of some recent JE publication news.
Tasting Her: Oral Sex Stories, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, is now available, as is the companion book, Tasting Him. My piece in "Her" (ooh, that sounds … nice) is called "Cavanaugh’s Ridge." As it happens, I’ve been reading all the other writers’ stories over the past few days, and having a most wonderful time. The roster includes, among others, Lisette Ashton, Emerald, Shanna Germain, Sommer Marsden, Gwen Masters, Craig J. Sorensen, Donna George Storey, Alison Tyler, and Kristina Wright!
Meanwhile, my story "Any Friend of Hers" appears in a new Xcite books collection called Satisfy Me. [Cue "Satisfaction" guitar riff: enh-enh, enhnenhNENH-enhnenhnenhnenhnenh …] I’m sharing a table of contents with Elizabeth Cage and Kristina Wright in this one!

And coming up (like a flower–remember that song?) …
I was recently given the opportunity of participating in a wonderful program called Burlesque Against Breast Cancer. And, being the way I am, I had stripped down to my rudiments before I realized that the commodity under discussion was a display of Jeremy writing, not a display of Jeremy flesh. So I got dressed again and wrote a story … and I’m delighted to announce that it will be included in Ultimate Burlesque, a volume of burlesque-themed erotica that will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support. The book is being edited by Emily Dubberley and Alyson Fixter of Scarlet magazine, and will be published by Xcite. Authors include Portia Da Costa, Maxim Jakubowski, Kristina Lloyd, Nikki Magennis, Donna George Storey, and Alison Tyler!

Early in ’09, my story "Francine’s Kid" will be published in Coming Together: At Last (ed. Alessia Brio), a two-volume collection of erotica that will benefit the heroic human-rights organization Amnesty International. Each story in this collection involves characters who are different races from each other sharing love/sex/lust. The book’s release is intentionally timed around Martin Luther King Day. Erotica, racial harmony, Dr. King, human rights … I’m damn proud to be part of this! And I’m damn proud to be between the double covers with writers like Jolie Du Pré, Sacchi Green, Saskia Walker, and Allison Wonderland!

And I’m also super-excited to be able to say that a piece of mine called "Human" has been selected for inclusion in an anthology put together by the folks at Oysters & Chocolate! This collection will be released by NAL/Penguin in May, 2009. The O&C website is the home to a number of my stories, and I’m thrilled to be part of the first O&C book. (I don’t know the table of contents for this one yet.)

from socks to fedora,

Hmmm …. I think I just might write to Jeremy and ask him for one of his little short stories to feature here.  I mean, after all, it has been a while, and he certainly never disappoints.  His writing is clever and sexy — with a scrumptious dose of whimsey that tickles my funny bone along with a few other of my parts.  He also happens to be one heck-of-a nice guy.  You, dear reader, should be gone now:  off to add to your ever-growing erotica collection.

Dirty Monkeys & Doctor Susan Block

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

From Cult of Gracie:

Cult of Gracie Radio moves to XXBN with tonight’s show, featuring Dr. Susan Block, sex educator, cable TV host and author, discusses what we can learn from bonobos, the chimps who have a matriarchal culture and are recognized to have sex play a prominent role in their society. Bonobos also display compassion, empathy, kindness, patience, sensitivity, and altruism. We humans could should learn a lot from these apes so closely related to us.

About Suzy: A familiar face on HBO’s late-night programming through her #1 Nielsen-rated specials, Radio Sex TV with Dr. Susan Block as well as her episodes on Real Sex, she’s not only an educated sexologist, but a hot chick with a grand sense of humor to boot.

Listen to the show live here ~ and don’t forget to call in!

Don’t Mind Me

crabby bitch.jpg

Yes, I am cranky at times. But you do so love me, dontcha? Just admit it; you know that you do.

The above button was sent by my sister (I have more…just you wait.), once again from her intra-office email. Because what else is corporate America doing these days but playing on the internet? We who work on the net don’t find the silliness of email play quite so fascinating.  In fact emails can be quite a royal pain.

So what might a naughty & nice gal like myself have to be cranky about? Well…

  • Foxfire, which is usually awesome and I highly recommend as your browser of choice, actually lost all my bookmarks. I was furious and in a panic, as I tend to get with technical fuck-ups. But a good geek boy fixed it for me. (Thanks!)
  • I gave away way too much money recently –Christmas, don’t you know?– and I just checked my bank balance. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
  • More snow tomorrow. (Dear God: Enough with the snow already! It was a nice touch for the holidays, but I’ve got places to go and people to see.)
  • I figured out how to replace my ink cartridges in my printer only to have the stupid thing start telling me there was a paper jam and there wasn’t. I swear there wasn’t. That one just about did me in. But it is better now. Thanks again to good geek boy.
  • I want a new car and a new condo. Girls who want such big ticket items need to learn to save their money rather than giving it away. I’m trying.

But I have lotsa good stuff happening too…and I happen to have a very appreciative heart despite my whining. I am gifted in that I can be cranky and happy at the same time.

And speaking of being gifted: As far as gifts went, I had the best Christmas since my childhood. And I do have awesome friends. Richard, Deviant Savant, Mistress V and Lyndee are just a few who come to mind.

And then there are my beloved callers who are just so fucking smart and downright adorable. I do believe that I have the cream of the crop when it comes to clientele. Just look at the commentary here at my blog. And they always say the nicest, sweetest things about me.

And I have a new hairdo which is simply fab!

By the way. Luscious Lyndee has been a very busy girl lately. She has a totally redesigned site, which you can see my clicking the above link. She also has recorded two fantasies which sound pretty interesting. I just might listen myself. You can find them here. But the biggest news is her new website, Pink Panty Cafe for sissies and panty boys. Make sure to check it out and visit often if you thrill to the idea of dressing up for a Mistress or lover or even a group of mean girls.

And if you are a PSO or owner/operator of an adult site looking for a talented, committed and creative webmaster to design your website, blog or even help you with HTML, check out Designs by Lovies. She is the wunderkind who took Lyndee’s ideas and brought them to fruition.

I am off to bed. Wish me sweet dreams. Or at least a few dirty ones.
